Election day!
By Ravenhawk | November 7, 2006
To those of your outside the US, the second tuesday after the first monday in november (Or whatever it is) means nothing to you. To some of you inside the US, it doesn’t mean anything either.
Well, it should mean something.
Because today, is election day. It is the day that the members of congress have been sweating over all year. A large number of them will not be returning to congress. Or at least that is the hope.
This year especially is important. The Republican Majority in congress is thought by many to be at its downfall. Mass corruption, immorality, and scandal have put them in a bad light and made the democrats looked that much more appealing.
I’m not going to preach my political views here. I just want to urge everyone out there to get off your computer, get out there, and vote. [Especially if you’re in a swing state]
Don’t do it as a Democrat or a Republican. Don’t just do it as an American. Do it as a human being who has the power to effect the way that their life, as well as the lives of the rest of the nation, will be swayed.
The time is now.
See you at the polls, Comrades.
