Maple Storytime, again.

So, I was convinced yesterday at my lunch break to download Maple Story. I played in the closed beta, but got frustrated with the game’s slow pace.
Upon playing again I joined the new server. I was slightly amused to note that they are about three or four times the number of quests of noob island than there used to be. And there are portable chairs. I must say its rather nice: When you run out of HP, and you’re super tired, instead of standing around waiting for your life to magically return, you can relax in your little chair.
I was rather Saddened that the name I went by on both of the servers I previously played on, PoringHunter, was taking. I like hunting porings that happened to be in a different game thank-you-very-much. So, now I have a hunter in the works named MajorKarl, (It was going to be MajorMarx, but I got confused as I was playing with too many names) and a Permanovice named NewbCommie.
I have a bit of an attachment to permanovices/beginners as a class. In ragnarok online, I struggled my way to level 40 as a novice in order to become a Super Novice. To my great amusement, I discovered that the Super Novice change npc was a communist. He described Novices as the working class struggling with the labour of defeating small monsters and getting little pay while the other classes hunted great things and got shiny items. The Super Novice was the revolutionary of the Novices, they used the abilities of all other base classes against the oppression of high level monsters to prove the great strength of working class!
Okay, so maybe he was less in depth than that, but thats how I saw it. So, anyway, yes. I probably won’t play much this week as I have a math test to take three times, a program to write inventorying M&Ms, and some meetings to attend for the writing of a Bioethics paper…
But once I get out of homework land, the workers shall prevail! Maybe…
Maple Story doesn’t have a Super Novice class.
