Finally moving

If the blog suddenly becomes ugly, and/or stops working for a bit, it’s because I’m in the process of finally moving it over to my own domain. Sadly, this means I’ll have to temporarily change over to the new blogger, which means my blog will become rather hideous for awhile. (Maybe that’s being a bit dramatic, but I do like my three columns) But if all goes well, I should be moved into wordpress by tomorrow, if not the end of the night.

Well, the move is done. Although there were a few errors involved, mainly the attribution of all TheSwiftEye’s posts to myself and the turning of all my tags into categories, they’re livable issues. I’ll have to delete all the categories, make some real categories, then begin the painful process of changing all 97ish of my posts into those new categories…
The Feedburner address has been updated, so all my subscribers should be seeing the new site, and the blogspot blog will be set to permanent forward here shortly. I’m sure I’ll be seeing a drop in my intense google traffic, at least for a few months until I’m recached, but it’s a worthwhile price to pay, methinks.

April Fools events! (or not)

Oh noez, its the first of april. While as a youth today was a day to play silly pranks on whatever poor sap was available as I grew older the importance of April Fools day seemed to dwindle. I figured this was merely because I was becoming more mature, but maybe not.
Like many of the holidays that are so widely celebrated in the US, April Fools brings forth for me, the expectation of cool events. Or at least mildly amusing events with joke items. Sadly, this year I have noticed no cool events for April Fools day.
Puzzle Pirates: Booty or No booty. But thats a month event, irrelevant to today.
Maple Story: Easter Event.
GunZ: Nothing.
Gunbound: Nothing
Now, I’m not really complaining, I mean, events are something that the GMs do which is an extra bonus to the players. They really have no right to demand them. I just find it interesting that no one really cares about April Fools day anymore. Even the town business are just kinda like “woo, it’s.. april..”
In other news, Google is offering Free broadband!

Traffic and ad filters

I was finally added to the “Bestest blog ever”. Its a big blog link trade. Hopefully it’ll get some traffic flow moving in here. I noticed the other day that they new ads I added on the left happen to be really bad at picking out key words, unlike google which is good at it.
So, I’m slowly setting up filters for words it should ignore in hopes that it will at least not look stupid.
